APPLICATION STEPS
1. Eligibility Criteria (Application Requirements)
Applications are accepted from candidates who are in their final year of high school or have graduated, provided they meet the following conditions:
- Foreign Nationals: Foreign national applicants may apply; however, foreign nationals who are currently enrolled in or have graduated from secondary education institutions (high schools) in Türkiye are not eligible to apply. This restriction does not apply to students enrolled in embassy schools, international private educational institutions registered in the MOBİS system, or students brought to Türkiye under projects conducted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB).
- Blue Card Holders: Blue Card holders may apply; however, those who are currently enrolled in or have graduated from high schools in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants Who Subsequently Acquired Turkish Citizenship: Applicants who were originally foreign nationals and later acquired Turkish citizenship (including dual citizens in this category) may apply, provided that they are not currently enrolled in and have not graduated from high schools in Türkiye or the TRNC.
- Turkish Citizens Who Completed High School Abroad: Turkish citizens who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the TRNC may apply.
- Applicants with GCE AL Qualifications: Applicants who are citizens of the TRNC and have completed their secondary education there and hold GCE Advanced Level (GCE AL) qualifications, as well as those who enrolled in colleges or high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 and have obtained or will obtain GCE AL qualifications, may apply.
Ineligible Applicants:
- Turkish citizens who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants who are citizens of the TRNC are not eligible to apply, except for those who hold GCE Advanced Level (GCE AL) qualifications or those who have completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country and possess a valid TR-YOS score.
- Dual citizens, one of whose nationalities is TRNC citizenship, are not eligible to apply, except for those who hold GCE Advanced Level (GCE AL) qualifications or those who have completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country and possess a valid TR-YOS score.
- Turkish citizens studying at embassy schools in Türkiye or at foreign high schools located in Türkiye are not eligible to apply.
- Dual citizens whose first nationality by birth was Turkish citizenship are not eligible to apply, except for those who have completed their entire secondary education abroad (excluding the TRNC).
- Blue Card holders and foreign nationals who enrolled in secondary education institutions (high schools) in Türkiye from the 2022–2023 academic year onwards are not eligible to apply.
Required Application Documents:
- Certified copy of the high school diploma, transcript, and their official translations.
- Foreign student exam result document or other national and international exam result documents.
- Copy of ID/Passport and its Turkish translation.
- High school transcript.
2. Application and Selection Process
- Method: Applications are accepted exclusively online via the university's official website.
- Selection Limit: Each candidate may select up to 5 different departments.
- Evaluation Criteria: Priority is given to TR-YÖS and international exam scores. If quotas are not filled, the High School Grade Point Average (OBP) will be considered.
3. Important Dates (Application Calendar)
- Application Period: June 22, 2026 – July 23, 2026
- Announcement of Results: July 30, 2026
- Final Registration Dates: September 1, 2026 – September 18, 2026
Note: International student placements will be made according to the quotas approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. These dates are subject to change following the finalization of quotas.
4. Principles of Application and Placement
- Tie-Breaking: In the event of equal scores, the high school graduation grade will be the deciding factor.
- Country Quota: A 50% limit may be applied for applicants from the same country within a specific department.
- Additional Placement: Additional placement rounds will be held for quotas remaining vacant after the initial registration period.
- Letter of Acceptance: An official acceptance letter will be sent by the university to the email address declared by the successful candidates.
5. Medium of Instruction and Turkish Proficiency
- The primary medium of instruction at the university is Turkish.
- Examination Requirement: Candidates holding a TÖMER certificate from other institutions are still required to take the University’s Turkish Proficiency Exam.
- Time Limit: Students with insufficient Turkish levels are granted leave for language study; however, students who fail to provide proficiency within 2 years will be disenrolled.
6. Documents Required for Final Registration
Successful candidates must apply in person to the International Student Office with the following:
- Official Letter of Acceptance.
- High School Diploma: Original and certified Turkish translation.
- Equivalency Certificate: Obtained from Provincial Directorates of National Education or Turkish Embassies.
- Transcript: Certified copy and Turkish translation.
- Exam Result Document: TR-YÖS or other international exam results (Azerbaijan Central University Entrance Examination).
- Passport: Certified Turkish translation of the passport with a study visa. (Candidates already in Türkiye may provide a "residence permit" from Provincial Directorates of Migration Management).
- Photographs: 2 biometric photos (taken within the last 6 months).
- Bank Receipt: Proof of payment for the tuition fee.
- Financial Guarantee Statement: Signed document.
- Foreign National ID Number.
- Health Report.
- Additional documents may be requested for programs requiring a Special Talent Exam.
7. Student Responsibilities
- Residence Permit: Must be obtained within 1 month of entry into Türkiye.
- Insurance: Students are responsible for fulfilling General Health Insurance requirements.
- Information Update: Changes in address, telephone, or marital status must be reported to the university within 15 days.
- Disenrollment: Students in undergraduate programs who do not select courses or pay fees for 2 consecutive years will be disenrolled.
Warning: Candidates are personally responsible for the accuracy of information and the tracking of documents throughout the application and registration process. All legal and administrative liabilities arising from incorrect, incomplete, or false declarations belong to the student.

Our university reserves the right to make changes to application conditions, evaluation criteria, quotas, tuition fees, the academic calendar, registration processes, and announced dates when deemed necessary. Tuition fees and contribution margins may be determined later for the relevant academic year and will be announced on the official website. Processes may be updated, postponed, or canceled in line with technical glitches, force majeure, decisions of official authorities, or administrative necessities that may occur during the application and registration periods. The university has the right to cancel the application or registration if incomplete, incorrect, or false documents/declarations are detected. Tracking current announcements is the responsibility of the candidate. For matters not included in this announcement, the relevant YÖK (Council of Higher Education) legislation, university senate decisions, and the higher education legislation of the Republic of Türkiye shall apply.
